“The Last Thing He Told Me” Series Summary & Ending Explained: “The Last Thing He Told Me” is now available on AppleTV+ in the English language with English subtitles. In this article, I am going to tell you the summary and ending explanation of the movie, so let’s get started.
The story starts with Hannah Michaels, who smashes her phone on the floor, in which the wallpaper is of her husband Owen. She is staying in a hotel and starts searching for Bailey in the room but is not able to find her. Now cut to four days earlier, where we will get to know how all this started.
Cut to Hannah and Owen, who are celebrating their 14 months of marriage, and they love each other very much. They are also celebrating Hannah’s success at work. She makes wooden bowls and vases, and her article got published in a magazine. They are making plans to go somewhere out on the weekend.
Next, we see Bailey, who is a teenage girl and Owen’s daughter, but not Hannah’s. We can clearly see there is some tension between her and Hannah. Owen leaves with his daughter to work and drops her off at school.
In the evening, Hannah is preparing a tasty meal for her family, while the doorbell rings, and a student gives Hannah a handwritten note written by her husband. The note says “SAVE HER.” By seeing the note, she called her husband, but the call goes straight to voicemail.
She rushes towards her office where he works in a software company. She finds that FBI agents are taking some boxes out from there, and the CEO of the company got arrested by them. She sees her husband’s parking spot, but it is empty.
She then rushes to Bailey’s school, and while waiting for her, she reads an article in the newspaper that the company is going through an investigation for the last 15 months and was found guilty of fraud.
In the school, Bailey meets her boyfriend Bobby and finds a bag with a note in her locker. She brings the bag to Hannah’s car, and they found bundles of cash in that bag. They go home arguing throughout the way in the car.
When they reach home, Hannah finds her friend Jules standing in the door. She hides the bag from her and talks to her in private. Jules told her that her partner got the tip that the company lied about the sales of their latest software, and Owen’s all assets got frozen. That’s why he leaves a bag of cash for them. While at home, she notices a man spying on them.
Ending
In the end, we see Hannah and Bailey trying to decode the note they found in her locker, but they are not successful. As Hannah goes outside to throw the garbage, she meets a US Marshal there, who told her that her husband hasn’t used her credit card or phone since 24 hours. After returning, Hannah tries one more time to call her husband, but he doesn’t pick up, and she realizes that her husband can be the criminal, and the episode ends.
