HULU’s ongoing Comedy Murder Mystery titled “Only Murders In The Building” released the Fifth Episode of its second season today titled “The Tell” which went ahead in the story development and also struck down some of the leads that the trio felt and also making some new leads. The Episode with a runtime of a little above 30 minutes featured the trio and also went in a different direction that was not assumed before.

What Happened In Episode 5?

The episode titled “The Tell” was narrated by Oliver’s son William, with whom Oliver was trying to rebuild his relationship in Season 1 and in Season 2, we saw that they are on the right track to a healthy relationship and William is following in his father’s footsteps by directing a school musical of “The Wizard Of OZ”.

The Episode starts off with William talking about his father Oliver and how he is exceptional in finding out what people are hiding, which he found out by understanding their behavioral traits. We’re shown in the 70s where Oliver was the party shiner and used to play the game “Son Of Sam”, old in people’s version of Among Us.

We’re also met by the newest series addition Cara Delevingne who becomes a person of interest when Charles meets Jan, his previous lover and the culprit of Season 1 in prison and she gives him an idea about finding someone who is trying to be close to any three of you. They find a good opportunity to find out if Mabel’s new girlfriend is also the killer or not by coming to the artistic party Mabel hosted.

Oliver starts the game of Son Of Sam at the party and does his magic on Mabel’s girlfriend Alice finding out her “Tell” which ended up exposing her lies but not the ones we’re hoped for.

Turns out, she lied about her going to oxford, being a rich family girl so her artistic caliber would be measured with a good height. After her lies are exposed by Oliver, she storms off with Mabel following her. So, Alice comes to a dead end. Another story development that we see is William, Oliver’s son is not his biological son.

Results of a DNA test show that William is Half Greek on his father’s side which makes him supposedly, Teddy Dimas’s son who is out of Jail awaiting trial and also looking for Oliver’s blood. Mabel comforts Alice about lying while Charles seems to have spiraled back to Jan, the serial killer, and finds comfort in her connection. Neither of the other two knows about Jan so far.

The episode ended on a note of surprise for Oliver, but for Mabel and Charles it was comforting as they found someone, they feel connected to.

We also saw a clue found by Mabel who was looking through the secret passageways in The Arconia and finds a matchbox in either blood or ketchup. The trio goes to the restaurant where the matchbox is from to investigate and finds that it was Bunny’s regular restaurant where she came for her lunch.

Oliver sees the waiter who Bunny used to handsomely tip and also left a lot of money to, in Episode 3 but he feels guilty and returns that money to Bunny’s apartment to not look guilty.

Oliver, after going back to him to discuss finds out that Bunny met someone on the day before her murder and it was a heated debate as they see in the CCTV Camera but the quality of the video is not good so we’re not sure who is it.

That person in the video is seen taking the matchbox on his way out, which spirals Oliver and records that video, and goes back to the other two.
