Mithya’ Series Review: Whenever I saw the name Applause Entertainment, I get good vibes, the same is with the Zee5 original web series Mithya, the series got released on the Platform Last Night, and here is the detailed review of the Zee5 original series Mihtya. I am going to talk about the cast, story, performances, and more.
The web series stars Huma Qureshi, Avantika Dassani, and Parambrata Chatterjee in the main lead role, the series is created by Rohan Sippy. There is a total of 6 episodes in the series and all episodes are approx 30-35 minutes long. There are few kissing and Bedroom sequences in the series so the series is not suitable to watch with family and Kids.
The plot of the series revolves around Ria (Played By Avantika), Juhi (Played By Huma), and Neil (Played By Parambrata Chatterjee). Juhi is a college professor and she failed Riya on the charge of plagiarism, Riya is a rich father’s daughter and now she wants to take revenge, how Juhi’s husband, father, and family members get involved in this story. To know that, you have to watch the whole series.
Coming to the performances, Avantika Dassani is just brilliant she looks too good in her role and her performance was great to watch, her dialogue delivery and the body language were just amazing, Surely she steals the show single-handedly. Huma is just good enough in her role, there is nothing much in her character to showcase, still, she looks decent. She was good during the intense and emotional sequences and that’s the best part about her role.

Parambrata Chatterjee is a great actor and we had already seen his previous works in the films like Pari and Kahani, He has done decent work here too, although that old and intense spark was missing in his performance or maybe this was due to the dull character that he was playing. Rest other characters were decent enough to watch.
Coming to the story of the series, I Don’t what was thrill in the series? The series is very very predictable from the beginning itself, the screenplay is decent but the series is super slow and it looks like the creators are just making it longer and longer. It was a short story with no twists and turns. There is a twist in episode 4 and after that, the series falls flat from there, the editing, screenplay, and execution of everything are below average.
The Locations were great, the BGM was average, the shooting locations look realicstic, There are 6 episodes and I still feel that a story like this should be finished in 3-4 episodes.
I am going with 2 out of 5 stars for this series, The series falls flat and there is nothing new to watch in the series except the performance of Avantika Dassani. If you like slow-paced thrillers I will suggest you go and watch Bestseller on Amazon Prime Video, If you still want to watch this series, You can have a look at it on Zee5.
