Malik Malayalam Movie Review: It looks like the rule of the Malayalam industry is not going to end soon, Another content-driven film Malik just got released on the amazon prime video, I just finished the film and here I am with the review of it. I am going to talk about the performances, plot, Positives, and Negatives of the film.
Malik stars Fahadh Faasil, Nimisha Sajayan, and Joju George in the main lead roles, the film is directed and written by Mahesh Narayanan and produced by Anto Joseph. The movie is a family-friendly film and you can watch the film with family, the film is available on Prime Video in Malayalam Audio along with the English subtitles.
Story
The story of the film revolves mainly around Ahammadali Sulaiman (Played By Fahadh Faasil) is Kind of Robinhood of Ramadapally and Edavathura, Coastal areas in Kerala. Different people have different opinions about him, On one hand, he is Messiah for the Poor people on another hand he is a criminal and a terrorist for the State. Malik is about the Past and Present of Sulaiman after he gets arrest by the local Police on the charges of TADA. What happened next and what was his past, to know this you have to watch the full movie on Amazon Prime Video.
Performances
Fahadh Faasil shines again in his role, he is one of the key performers from the film and he makes this film a good watch, his character transformation in the film was just amazing. The way he changes himself from Young and old Sulaiman was amazing. There are lots of differences in both of the characters but the way he maintained the balance was terrific to watch. Nimisha Sajayan was brilliant in her role too, she is as good during the intense scenes and the way she created her own atmosphere was amazing to see. Joju George was good in his role too.
Other Actors like Dileesh Pothan, Divya Prabha, and Meeenkashi were good in the respective roles too. Roshan Sabu was also good in his role in the character of Teenage Sulaiman.
Analysis
This film is a perfect example of how an Average Script can be turned into an amazing film with great screenplay, performances, and cinematography. The script of the film is average and there was nothing extraordinary in it. The script looks like a Mixture of Gangs Of Waseypur, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Shootout At Wadala, and the Hollywood film the Godfather. The script is about a villain who helps the poor but is hated by the government due to his activities.
The biggest plus point of the film is, its Amazing Execution and Mindblowing screenplay. The film is just wow in so many ways, the film is approx 2 hours and 40 minutes long but it still keeps you hooked till the end from its amazing screenplay and storytelling. The music of the series is decent and the locations were amazing. Brilliant Peformances add a major boost to the film and the film turns out to be thrilling gripping and an entertaining watch in spite of Old and predictable Script.
