The Boys not only has awesomeness filled in it with lots of darkness and madness but it’s also a very good mirror to what’s been happening all around us. It is not something new that we’re seeing, the writers have found a way to incorporate that into the show, and kudos to the writers for that. The Boys streams every Friday on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages, English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu for the Indian audience.

After we see a conversation between our Nazi Stormfront who thinks that the Aryan race is the superior one and wants every other race extinguished from this very planet, called Earth and Homelander not ending up well, she kills herself after being bedridden after the season 2. After hearing the news of her death, we see news about Nazi groups coming out and organizing rallies which sort of looked similar because the same has been happening a lot in the US, one of them being the Charlottesville Unite The Right Rally that happened in 2017.

Homelander has been gifted with so many powers that if he wants, he can cause a planet-wide genocide, and the way he has evolved physically but not at all mentally, what he exudes is a superior nature of being and gives off that “Savior” complex and blames it on the people that “You Want me to save you”. He himself puts him on a pedestal and looks down on people. This type of mentality is not new and is like a mirror of society that we’re seeing in the series.

After Homelander’s speech during his birthday in Episode 2, we see some stats being given that there’s been a rapid increase in Homelander’s approval ratings, particularly in white middle-aged males. After we also see that the speech given by Homelander on his birthday that gave rise to this uptick is being passed on to the younger generation by the older one, those middle-aged white men and we see sort of a process that has been happening for quite some time, wrongful impressions being pressed onto children that they will think is true and start to live by that.
