Shahid Kapoor is back with a bang on OTT screens yet again. His last release, Farzi, was loved a lot by audiences, and now a new original film titled ‘Bloody Daddy’ is streaming on Jio Cinema for free. The film is around 2 hours long and is not suitable to watch with kids and family.
The film stars Shahid Kapoor as Sumair, who is a narcotics officer. The film also stars Ronit Roy as Sikander, Rajeev Khandelwal as Samir, and Daina Penty as Aditi. The film is produced by Jio Studios and directed by Ali Abbas Zaffar. Here is a detailed review of the film.
The plot of the film revolves around a narcotics officer, Sumair, whose son is kidnapped by criminal Sikandar. Sumair is a one-man army, and he is on a mission to save his son from the goons. Why have those goons kidnapped his son, and will he be able to save his son or not? To know this, you need to watch the full movie on Jio Cinema.
Shahid Kapoor has done a great job during the action sequences. He was flawless, and we are going to see him in a never-seen-before avatar in the film. He was too good with dialogue and other aspects. The only issue with Shahid was during those emotional talks with his son. During those scenes, I found that the connection was missing in his performance. Rajeev and Ronit Roy have done an amazing job, and they look brilliant. Rajeev is decent during those action sequences. Daina Penty was also good in her respective role.
The music and BGM were brilliant for the film. The only issue with the film was the songs. There is not even a single catchy song in the film, and I am pretty sure it will hurt the reach of the film for sure. The locations were decent. The biggest issue with the film was its story. The story was very predictable, and there was nothing to guess in the film. The climax was also average and predictable. I was expecting something better and a bigger climax after the great start. The film is decent in all other departments.
I am going with 3 out of 5 stars for the film. The film is a good entertaining saga with top-notch action and great performances. The story is the only lacking part of the film, and the rest is okay. If you are looking to watch something entertaining, you may have a look at the film on Jio Cinema for free.
