Bhoomi Movie Review: The best thing about the South industry is, they come with some great and amazing concept, Bhoomi directed by Lakshman is another one on the list, the movie goes for direct ott release and here in the post we are going to review the movie, we would talk about the performances, script, screenplay and few other details about the movie.
The movie stars Jay Ram Ravi and Ronit Roy in main lead roles, the movie also stars Nidhi Agrawal, Satish and Radha Devi in crucial roles, the movie is written and directed by Lakshman and produced by Sujatha Vijay Kumar, the movie is now available on Hotstar. The movie is about 2 hours long.
Plot
The plot of the movie revolves around Bhoominathan ( Jay Ram Ravi), who is Nasa Scientist, he comes to his village on vacation and there he found that villagers are in deep trouble and they are in debt due to the bad crops when he tried to find out the reason behind this, he came to know that Big Corporate companies are behind this. and from there he thought to produce his own products with the help of local farmers, he challenges corporate King Richard Child and there stars a game of survival, Richard uses all his power to stop Bhoomi, can be able to do so? to know this you have to watch the whole movie.
Performances
Jay Ram Ravi and Ronit Roy are in crucial roles and they get the maximum screen presence, even Nidhi Agrawal get 15-20 minutes of screen Presence, Jay Ram Ravi tried all his best to give an amazing performance but faulty script spoils everything, same is with the Ronit Roy, both of the actors are brilliant with their Job, Nidhi Agrawal is decent and she looks pretty in her short role, Sathish as Bhoomi’s friend was also decent, overall the movie is decent in terms of performances.
Screenplay & Others
The writer had a great concept but the script lacks the research, we are in 2021 and you can’t make a movie without research, there are lots of flaws in the movie, ‘how can anyone give drinking water directly to a Minister on an IAS, how can you grow crops without Pesticides all of sudden and there are many more. There are lots of things which are illogical and they don’t make any sense, the editing of the movie is good and it is short.
The locations are brilliant and they give a realistic feel, the BGM is amazing and I liked a few songs, especially The Vande Matram Song.

Overall
I am going with 2.5 out of 5 for the movie, the concept of the movie is amazing but it needs lots of research and there are lots of flaws, still, if you are looking for some family drama on Pongal Weeknd, you can watch the movie with Famil.
