Bachchan Pandey Review (Bachchhan Paandey): Akshay Kumar’s Masala entertainer is here, Bachchan Pandey is all your now, the film released on the Big Screens, I just finished the film and here is the detailed review of the film. I am going to talk about the plot, performances, and a few more highlights of the film.
The film has some amazing actors like Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, and Arshad Warsi in the main lead roles, The film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Pankaj Tripathi, and others. The film is created by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Farhad Samji, The film is a family entertainer and you can watch it with family and Kids. The film is around 140 minutes long.
The plot of the film was clear from the trailer itself, the story of the film revolves around Myra Devekar (Played by Kriti Sanon) Who is a film director and She wants to make a film on Gangster Bachchan Pandey (Played by Akshay Kumar). Myra along with his assistant and friend Vishu (Played by Arshad Warsi) comes to Bachchan Pandey’s area, and here starts the game of fun, Emotion, and action, Will she be able to make a film on Pandey, or she will put her life in danger, to know this you have to watch the full movie.
The best thing about the film is the performance, Akshay Kumar is at his best, This role will be remembered for a long time and the way Akshay has played it is just amazing, His transformation looks lit and he looks unrecognizable, He was too good during the emotional as well as the action sequences, Kriti Sanon has got a great screen time here and she played her beautifully, She looks confident, emotionally strong and very expressive, Although she is behind her role in ‘Mimi’ in terms of the acting, she puts a great impact on the overall film.
Arshad Warsi, You are A Gem !! he is the core of the film, he saves the film so many times from his iconic and amazing performance, he is the best performer in the film for me and in most of the sequences I found him better and bigger than everyone in the film in terms of performance. Many of you will go to watch the film as Akshay Kumar’s fans but you will come out as the Arshad Warsi fan for sure. Pankaj Tripathi has got very short screen time and he nailed it again with the comic timing, The same is with Sanjay Mishra and others. Rest other actors like Abhimanyu Singh, Pratik Babbaer and Jacqueline were good in the film.

After watching the emotional and tense film like ‘The Kashmir Files’ last week and then unbearable ‘Radhe Shyam’, I was expecting some light masala film and ‘Bachchan Pandey’ delivers the same, the film has everything, Action, Drama, Emotion, and little comedy.
The screenplay is decent, the first half is a little long and sometimes it feels like the makers are dragging the plot, but the second half is just too good, Action sequences looks amazing, the locations were great and the coloring of the film was so good.
Honestly speaking I was expecting huge comedy in the film, but the film lack that element, There are few sequences which can make you laugh aloud, still that was not enough to make the film a comedy film, The dialogues were not up to the mark and I feel this is the biggest minus point of the film. There is only one dialogue that sounds messy ‘Mujhe Bhai Nahi, Godfather Bolte Hain’ and that’s it.
I am going with 3 out of 5 stars for the film, The film is made for the big screens and if you want to add more colors of the smile on your face then you should give this movie a chance, the film has nothing extraordinary, but you are going to love it on the big screen for sure. It is a treat by Akshay Kumar on Holi for his fans, and if are still having nightmares (due to the tense content) of ‘The Kashmir Files’, this film goona help you in recovering from that.
