The story of the film begins with Nawazuddin Siddiqui getting an award for his excellent work in the field of interrogation and investigation. All of a sudden after a media question, Awasthi starts getting Halucinations. and here we get to see a flashback.
Adbhut Movie Summary & Ending Explained
The story now shifts to 5 Year back and we get to see a couple named Aaditya Rawat and Shruti Rawat has just shifted to a new place and when they were having a intimate moment all of sudden their door opens. Next day when Shruti was making something in Mixer Machine, Mixer all of sudden burst out and a Cross was printed on the Wall.
They Invite Detective JJ Awasthi to Investigate their House, After some interrogations and research Awasthi starts carefully monitoring the life Event of Aditya and during an opening of New hospital of Aditya the similar things starts happening and fan falls on them and again cross mark printed on the wall.
In the CCTV footage, Awasthi finds a suspicious girl named Mary Mathews. Upon digging deep, there was no details of Mary Mathews on the internet or in any documents.

Awasthi’s Assistant Sonu Starts following Mary and gets some details about her. When Awasthi asks about Marry Awasthi from Aditya, he says that he knows nothing about Marry. Awasthi reaches Mary Mathews when he asks about Rawat, She says that She knows nothing about Rawat.
When Awasthi shows the Pictures of Marry Mathews to Aditya, He says that she is Anjali Malhotra, Not Marry Mathews. Next day when Aditya Reached his home he saw that there are some blood stains in his house, when he reaches upstairs he saw that Shruti is about to Jump from rooftop and very soon she falls from the top floor.
Aditya comes down to look after her and soon she starts running towards the road. After running few kilometres when she is about to be hit by a Truck, Awasthi saves her. In the next frame, we get to see that Swati is in hospital and the Doctor says that she is pregnant.
Awasthi then asks about Anjali from a close friend of hers and there she tells an incident where she says that Anjali was in love with a guy named Arjun and she saw Arjun with some other girl and on the same night, Anjali met with an accident.

Next day when Aditya and Swati were talking, all of sudden she becomes violent and attacks on Aditya. On the other hand, Awasthi gets to know that Anjali meets with an accident on that Party Night and after that She has gone to Good Life Hospital, This was the same hospital in which Arjun was working.
Later on in the climax we get to see that Anjali heart was transplanted by Swati and Arjun from a Girl named Amy Matthews. Amy was in Comma and to gain some financial gains, Swati and Aditya kills Amy and Transplanted her heart in Anjali’s heart and from that day, Amy Starts living inside her.
Arjun, Swati and others were Jailed for this and 6 Months later Swati Gives birth to a child which was now being taken care by Awasthi and the film ends here.
