There was a meeting held with Chief Minister YS Jagan and many film stars attended the meeting and they were promised about the hike in ticket prices for the big-budget movies to recover their budget.
After hearing this verdict the Bheemla Nayak makers decided to stick to their earlier release date that is the 25th of February and went ahead. Much to their surprise new ticket prices rules haven’t been announced and the movie is struggling to achieve break-even and good collections in Andhra Pradesh. The political fight between Y S Jagan and Pawan Kalyan has led to this.
Now that Bheemla Nayak 2 week box office run has come to an end everybody was eagerly waiting for the new ticket prices. Today the AP government has revised the ticket rules and issued a statement regarding this. Well, the new verdict surely isn’t in the favour of big-budget filmmakers.
Nagababu Suggestion On AP Ticket Prices – Logical or Stupid?
The new ticket prices rule verdict says that excluding the remuneration of actors and everyone if the budget of the movie is above hundred crores the movie is going to get a hike in ticket prices for the first 10 days only if 20% of films shooting has taken place in Andhra Pradesh. Well, 50% of Radheshyam was shot in Italy and Europe, and the rest of the set was erected in Ramoji film city so none of the shootings took place in Andhra Pradesh. The same applies to RRR.
The verdict regarding the fifth show says that permission for the fifth show will be granted but the fifth show should be a small movie with a budget of fewer than 20 crores. Well, none of the new pricing rules have been in favor of big-budget films. It would be interesting to see how RRR and Radhe Shyam aur going to achieve breakeven. Meanwhile, Telangana government has hiked the ticket prices for big-budget movies and also allowed for the 5th show
