A Thursday Movie Review: After watching the trailer I was sure that this is just going to be an average film that is dumped on OTT, but I was not so true. Yami Gautam starrer thriller film A Thursday is now available to watch on the Hotstar and here we are going to tell you about the Performances, Story and other highlights of the film.
The movie stars Yami Gautam in the main lead role along with Dimple Kapadia, Atul Kulkarni and Neha Dhupia in the main lead roles, the film is produced by RSVP movies and directed by Behzad Khambata and written by Him too, the film is approx 2 hours long and now available to watch on Hotstar in the Hindi audio along with the subtitles, The film safe to watch with family, let’s jump to the review.
The plot of the film revolves around Naina Jaiswal, A Play School teacher, who Kidnaps the 16 Children and now she is putting her series of demands on the local Police and even the Prime Minister of India. Coming to the performances, This is going to be Career’s best performance of Yami Gautam, she is amazing and she looks so good in this role, she manages to grab the attention of the viewers. She is too good during the emotional and intense sequences and the same with the normal sequences. Atul Kulkarni was amazing as always and he has done a great job.
A Thursday Movie Summary & Ending Explained
Neha Dhupia Looks good and she has some great moments in the film, Dimple Kapadia was good in her short yet impactful role, the rest other characters were good enough to watch.
The writing of the film is very Poor, the screenplay lacks the thrill and the film looks very predictable, the story is the same old story and it looks like a Combination of ‘Madaari’, ‘A Wednesday and Just another film that shows the poor system of our country. The editing is decent, the locations were good and they look very realistic. The BGM and the music were very good and sometimes it give a major boost to the film. The writing lacks logic most of the time and it is very far away from reality.
I am going with 2.8 out of 5 stars for the film, the movie is Just another Crime thriller with nothing new if you are a fan of Yami or you are looking to watch something with family you can have a look at this film on Hotstar. The film is suitable to watch with family and is available in Hindi audio with subtitles.
