A Simple Murder Review: Sonyliv is back with another web series after their back to back hits like Undekhi, Welcome Home, and others, their new web series A Simple Murder is finally released on the platform, here in the post we are going to review the series, we are going to tell you about the plot, performances and few other details about the series.
The web series stars Zeeshan Ayub, Sushant Singh, and Priya Anand in main lead roles, the series also stars Vikram Kochar, Yashpal Sharma, Ayaz Khan, and others the series is created by Sachin Pathak and written by Akhilesh Jaiswal.
What is it About?
The story of the series revolves around a wrong murder, Manish (Played by Ayub) was assigned to kill someone but by mistake, he kills someone else, now the boyfriend of that dead girl wants to avenge her death and he is behind Manish to kill him. All this lead to the messed up and led to a thrilling drama, why Manish Killed that girl?, what would now happen to him, to know all these answers you have to watch the full-length series on Sony Liv.
Performances
The key highlight from the series are performances by the actors, Zeeshan Ayub is brilliant as Manish, his transformation from a common husband to a clever killer, from a loving husband to a heartbroken guy, he was amazing at each and every frame, Priya Anand character is little different, she is awesome in her role but the way her characters is shown, most of us would not like it. The other actors like Yashpal Sharma were decent and he makes you laugh with his funny expressions and dialogues.
Gopal Dutt as inspector and Sushant Singh as a contract killer were decent but sometimes they irritate you with their repetitive dialogues and expressions. Amit Siyal is the key highlight from the series, his acting, expressions, and character formation, everything was just brilliant.
Screenplay & Others
The series starts quite well and it keeps you hooked till the middle, but it loses its pace when it was required the most, the series goes very slow and predictable in the middle, the series regain its pace in the end, but it was too late. The editing of the series sucks in the middle, the episodes are long and boring and they seem disconnected from the main plot. Music and locations are the major part of the Sony Liv series (Undekhi and Scam 1992), but A Simple Murder lacks there too, locations look unrealistic and music is below average.

Overall
I am going with the 3 out of 5 stars for the series, the series is a decent crime drama, that you can watch if you have no options left, there is nothing much special about the series, the series is low in quality if we compare it from other Sony Liv originals.
Please note that you can watch the series on Sony Liv, the series is approx 4 hours in length and available in Hindi audio along with the subtitles on SONY Liv, and don’t watch the series with parents and Kids.
