A Married Woman (Web Series) Alt Balaji: Back at the beginning of the year, in the month of January, Alt Balaji announced their brand new web series titled A Married Woman. And the moment the series was announced it became the hot topic of the market.
A Married Woman is a show that will be focusing on same-s3x romance, between two women. But that’s not the catch, the catch is that the story is based and set in the year of the infamous riots that happened in 1992 popularly known as the Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid case.
Cast
The show is based on the novel by Manju Kapur and will feature Ridhi Dogra who was recently seen in Voot’s Asur and Monica Dogra playing the lead roles. The series is a co-venture by Zee5 and Alt Balaji.
Plot
The web series shows that amid the riots how love blossomed between the two innocent souls. It will feature the characters named Aastha and Peeplika, Aastha is a middle-class Delhi girl, and also a teacher by profession with a slight hint of painting in her desires. She is a perfect woman every family would want in their house but due to this generosity, she is not able to think anything for herself as all her decisions are made by someone else.
Her life changes when she meets Peeplika, whose personality is completely the opposite, an artist who’s never been interested in anything the least bit conventional. Soon they get attracted to each other and fall in love against the society.
Release Date
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the shooting was put on the hold but now as the situation comes to normal, the shooting for the show has begun recently. Seeing this, one can expect the show to be out in early 2021.
