Steve Cartisano Hell Camp: Netflix original docu-series “Hell Camp” is now streaming on Netflix. The series focuses on Hell Camps that were the talk of the town during the 80s. The main mastermind behind those camps was ‘Steve Cartisano.’ Steve Cartisano was a retired Army man who set up the camps and charged a huge amount of more than 16k dollars at that time from the parents of kids.

Steve Cartisano used to say that he would make the ‘Out Of control’ children good again, and if any parents want to make their children ‘good again,’ then they need to send their wards to the ‘Camp.’ Now, many of you may want to know why these camps were needed and what happened to Steve Cartisano? Where is he now? Here, we are going to answer everything related to this.

Coming to the first question of why these camps were needed and why Steve Cartisano started all these things. Back in the 80s-90s, the kids and teens of America were on the path of drugs and alcohol, and to make those youths and addicts good again, Steve Cartisano started a camp named ‘Challenger Foundation.’ The only way to get entry into these camps is through parents. Parents themselves send their children to these camps, and they also pay Steve Cartisano for that.

The foundation was set up in 1998 and later faced much criticism after the death of a girl in the camp. Steve Cartisano faced many cases and public trials, but he was never convicted as the permissions were given by the parents themselves.

The rules in the camps were very strict, and one had to follow strict guidelines from ‘Steve Cartisano.’ Even the haircut, daily routine, and food habits were also decided by ‘Steve Cartisano.’ The camps got into negative limelight when a Floridian teen, Kristin Chase, fell to her death during a camp activity.

Now coming to the question about what happened to ‘Steve Cartisano’? Well, he never faced any punishment for his camps, and he also settled many cases outside the court. He was banned from running such camps after the outrage in 1990. He again started the camps in Virgin Island and a few other places, but all were failed ventures. Steve Cartisano died in 2019 when he was 63 years old.
