Plot
The 6 episode series will follow the story of a young girl who is a student in college. The story is set in the early post Independence era of the 50s in India. It will tell us the story of Lata who is not dominated by her mother and brother’s thoughts and wants to live life on her own.

The series includes several talented actors like Tabu, Ishaan Khatter (Dhadak fame), Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Duggal(Tvf Flame Fame), Ram Kapoor, Namit Das, Vivaan Shah, and others. Mira Nair is directing the series.

An official trailer was released by BBC One. Since it’s a joint venture by British and Indian companies. The trailer is available on YouTube. Netflix hasn’t released the trailer yet in Hindi audio, you can check the English trailer of the series.
Release Date
The series is going to release on Netflix from August 2020, the series’s English version would release on BBC one from 27th July 2020, we can expect the release of series a week after that or later in August 2020.
