Before the worldwide release, Netflix has unveiled the final teaser kinda a preview of its upcoming live-action series of Resident Evil, The show is a live-action adaptation of a blockbuster game called Resident Evil by CAPCOM.
Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, Siena Adeline Rudolph, Tamara Smart, and Paola Nunez are playing the lead roles in the series. The series is directed by Bronwen Hughes who’s famous for The Walking Dead.
The series was announced in August 2020 and now is ready to hit the platform. It is developed for Netflix by Andrew Dabb. This makes this a second television adaptation of Resident Evil since we have already got an animated mini-series called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
The show will be released today aka 14th July 2022 and will have 8 episodes in total. As per the early reviews, the series holds a rating of 56% on Rotton Tomatoes. In Metacritic, the score is 56 out of 100.
Despite being famous for bad reviews, the Resident Evil franchise has a good fanbase, and its non-brainy but cool and action-packed writing still makes the movies and shows enjoyable somehow.
Now coming to season 2 of the show, As of now, The show is not renewed yet.
