Shabaash Mithu Review: I had watched the Hindi dubbed version of HIT and thus I chooses to watch the Mithali Raj biopic titled Shabaash Mitthu, Here I am going to tell you about the review of the film, here are the details about the Story, Performances and some more highlights of the film.
The film stars Taapsee Pannu in the main lead role, The film also stars Bijendra Kala, Vijay Raaz, and Mumtaaz Surcar in the crucial roles. The film is around 150 Minutes long and released in the Hindi version Only, The film is created and directed by Srijit Mukherji and written by Priya Aven. Let’s jump to the review.
The story of the film is about the life of Indian Women Cricketer Mithali Raj, her early life, how she comes into this game, how she struggles to get a name and fame for the women’s cricket team, and how she ultimately becomes the Test and ODI women team captain. To know this you have to watch the full movie in the cinema halls near you.
Now coming to the Performances, I don’t know where Taapsee is going, She was so promising in the first 4-5 films and now from there she is going down and down and this film is going to be the worst film of her career in terms of Performance, There is no transformation, no change is body language, No change in dialogue delivery nothing, She looks very similar to her last characters and she was looking more like Taapsee and not like Mithali in any frame.

Vijay Raaz is brilliant as always and he nailed it, He is surely the best man in the film. Mumtaz Sorcar is the same as the Taapsee and she fails to impress. Bijendra Kala and his timings were again amazing and Vijay and Binjendra make the film a little bearable. Rest other actors were also decent.
Coming to the Story, The weakest Part of the film is the story and the Camera work, There is no cricket, there are thousands of camera cuts in the single frame, and there is no straight shot and this film remains me of ‘Saina’ played by Parineeti. Imagine you are going to watch a film on a cricket legend and you don’t get to see a single cricketing shot in one go, The film is a prime example. The story is super dull and the screenplay is worst, The film goes bland after the first 20 minutes.
The music is average and the VFX is again very Poor, the last sequence in the film looks like a low-budget youtube video. The locations were up to the mark. The length of the film is another major issue.
I am going with 1.5 out of 5 stars for the film, The single run of the Mithali is better than the whole film, A big No for the film, The film is one of the worst made biopics on sports in Bollywood after the Saina.
