Season 2 of the Hulu series “Only Murders In The Building” was released a couple of days ago and the show is already getting good reviews. The creators of the show who are also acting in it wasted no time in getting the second season on air with good plots and introducing new characters.
But all this seems somewhat real like, we have Amy Schumer playing herself in the series just like we had Sting in Season 1. The question that has been in people’s minds on loop is, “Is the show based on real-life incidents??”
The show depicts some true-crime nerds who love to listen to true-crime podcasts and have a knack to solve crimes and find themselves in quite a predicament when there’s a murder in their own building called The Arconia. The real why someone would think it’s a show based on a real story is because that building is real but its name is not “The Arconia”, it’s “The Belnord Apartments”.
The show makes use of dramatic events for the users to get the thrill of the chase like when Charles finds out it was Jan who’s the killer. The events happening in the series are written carefully so as to look like something would happen in real life that would bend the investigation in a whole new direction and that’s a good point for the writers.
But the show is not based on real events, it’s just good writing and good humor and the writers making use of whatever reality they can consume into the show.
