I know you’re waiting for the explanation of the post-credit scene of this season finale. In the post-credit scene, we see Ben. We will talk about that but let’s talk what the machine plan of Sir Reginald.
So, the remaining members find the machine in the famous Hotel Oblivion and they’re being used as a source of energy for the machine. Sir Reginald knew heavy stuff and he planned himself for the seven members of the Umbrella Academy to team up and power the machine up to recreate the universe. A universe where Abigail is alive, safe, and sound. The plan sounded cool but Allison backed out and it leads them to be alive in their respective universe; maybe powerless though.

Coming back to the post-credit scene, we can see a grown man who looks like Ben (not confirmed his identity and this is just a guess) is riding the same train from the opening scene of season 3 where a lady gave birth to a superhuman baby.
The actor is the same but he’s reading a Korean book and has specs on his face. This is just a guess but I believe this might be the birth of Ben which was shown in the opening scene of season 3’s episode 1. Just like the season, 1 intro was about the birth of Victor I believe.
Since Ben from season 1 is already dead in Jennifer Incident when he was younger, we can slightly believe that this Ben would be the Ben from The Sparrow Academy. This seems like a completely new reality where there’s no existence of Any Academy is found.
If this is a new Ben, then in the future, Ben from The Sparrow Academy and this new Ben can come across one another and it will be amazing to see them either together or even against each other. We are uncertain what the future holds since the post-credit scene is too short to make any proper guesses. If this is a completely new version of Ben, then we can be sure of the concrete fact that there will more alternative versions of all characters we love. So it’s kind of following the MCU footsteps by diving into the multiverse kind of thing but doing it a little bit differently.
