Broadcasting and media rights have been divided into four packages like a b c and d, here we are going to explain each and every package one by one,
Package A: it consists of TV rights only for the Indian subcontinent.
Package B: It was of Digital rights only for the Indian subcontinent.
Package C: It Was unique it consists of 18 nonexclusive matches for an IPL season for the Indian region.
Package D: It consists rights of the rest of the world for TV and digital both.
Package A was grabbed by star India they’ll Stream on TV In India Subcontinent For INR 23,575 Crores This Means it is equal to around INR 57.5 Crores Per Match.
Package B: digital rights have been acquired by viacom18 which was Of INR 20,500 Crores This Means 50 Crores per match, In India Next Season Of IPL Will Stream On Voot Only For Subscribers.
Package C Was also acquired by viacom18 which is 98 non-exclusive matches in five seasons viacom 18 will stream The IPL for five seasons For INR 3,257 Crores, This Means around INR 33.24 Crore Per Match, Non-Exclusive matches include the opener, final and Evening matches on weekends.
Package D Overseas network TV And digital rights have been sold to viacom18 and times internet For INR 1,058 Crores Which Means around INR 2.58 Crores Per Match
Total Valuation Of The IPL Media Rights Was Approximately INR 48,390.52 Crores.
