Netflix Original India always tries to bring content but somehow it has failed to gain much appreciation in many of its content however some of its content such as Jamtara, Delhi Crimes, Fame Game, and Sacred Games is very much appreciated by the viewers.
Talking about the upcoming lineups of Netflix, based on the trailer of its upcoming content released by Netflix some content is still pending to be released, and some new content is also added to it. Thus Netflix has a decent lineup assembled for this year. Some of the new content that is coming from the Netflix is as follows
Soup
Netflix released an announcement video of the series “Soup” starring Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma a few months back. The series is directed by Abhisekh Chaubey known for his work on Udta Punjab and also worked on Netflix originals Raat Akeli Hai and Ray.
The series will be a dark comedy set in Kerala and it follows the plot of Swathy Shetty, an incompetent cook who dreams of opening a restaurant but her husband Prabhakar played by Major Bajpayee is not quite happy and supports her aspiration. No date has been announced for the series yet by Netflix and is likely to stream by the third quarter of this year.
CAT
After working on the action thriller Extraction with Chris Hemsworth Randeep Hooda is back and now in a series. The series will be a revenge drama directed by Balwinder Singh Januja set in the backdrop of Punjab and drug cartels. It is a series of Drug Peddlers, Gang Lords, Drug Trafficking, Cops, and Politics. No date has been announced by Netflix yet but likely to stream by the end of this year as the shoot for this series has already been completed.
Guns & Gulaabs
The dark crime thriller series set in the 90s with a humor touch in it will star well-known faces like Dulquer Salman, Rajkumar Rao, and Adarsh Gourav. The series is created by none other than The Family Man famed Raj & DK. Netflix has already made an official announcement of the series through its youtube channel and shooting is currently going on for it and is expected to stream by the end of this year or by the early quarter of 2023
SCOOP
Scoop is an upcoming series created by The Scam famed Hansal Mehta based on the biographical book “Behind the Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison” by Jigna Vora. The series will follow the plot of how the main character’s life changes when she was accused of killing a journalist and ends up in a prison. The series shooting is currently going on and is likely to stream by the end of this year.
The Devotion of Suspect X
The Netflix original movie based on the novel “The Devotion of Suspect X” marks by the debut of Kareena Kapoor in the OTT space. The film created by Sujoy Ghosh also stars Vijay Verma and Paatal Lok famed Jaipeed Ahlawat. The movie will be a love story and Netflix has made the official announcement already in its official youtube channel. The shooting is currently going and is likely to stream by the end half or early next year
Along with this much content on Netflix are also in the making as well many contents is also returning for its new season including She, Jamtara, and Delhi Crimes.
