Panchayat Season 2 Review: The series was released by the Prime Video one day ahead in India and around 2 days ahead in the USA, here is the detailed review of the Amazon Prime Video’s original series Panchayat Season 2, The series is now also available for the Indian users on the Prime Video.

Season 2 starts the same old talents from season 1, The series stars Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek in the main lead role, we are going to see Shivalika as Rinki, and Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Raghuveer Yadav, and Pradhan in crucial roles. The series also stars Biswapati Sarkar, Deepak Kumar Mishra, Chandan Roy, and others.

There is a total of 8 episodes in the series and all episodes are now streaming in Hindi audio with subtitles on Prime Video. There is no skin show in the series but there is some use of foul words, so You may watch it with family if you are comfortable. Let’s jump to the review.

The Plot of season 2 is more complex, better to say, there is a lot in season 2 in terms of story, Jitendra is in a Dilemma to leave the Job or not, He starts enjoying the company and his inclination toward Rinki is another factor. On the other hand, due to the worst developments work in the Village, the voice is getting up against the Pradhan, As Abhishek is a govt. officer opposition wants Abhishek to check on the developments works by Pradhan. Will Abhishek be with Pradhan? or he will choose to be with the development work for the Village, the series is all about these happenings around the Village.

For me Durgesh Kumar is the best performer from the season 2, I am not saying others were bad, but Durgesh Kumar as Bhushan was simply brilliant, He was too good in each and every frame and he played the perfect opposition for the Pradhan, Sunita Rajwar is Playing the character of his wife and she was fabulous too, She brings that same charm of ‘Bittu Ki Mummy’ from the SonyLiv original show ‘Gullak’, The way she speaks is just hilarious and I must say they both got the nerve of the season 2.

Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek looks as amazing as he was in season 1, Season 2 is more about the complex emotions and dilemmas that he goes through, and as expected he played the role brilliantly. The transformation of Neena Gupta is another highlight of the show, she looks so natural and the way she transformed herself was quite amazing. Prahlad Pandey and Chandan Roy were good like the season 1, the dialogue delivery of Chandan will make me laugh and his comic timing is just amazing.

With so much brilliance all around, Shivalika who is playing the role of Rinki struggles a bit, She looks nervous a little in the beginning but later she hits it out of the park, She was not bad at all, but for me, she was the weakest character in the series in terms of performance. The rest others who were playing the role of Villagers were good to watch.

I liked the screenplay, Trust me, If your roots are from a village, especially from UP or Bihar, You are going to relate to this series, The local elections, rivalries, and the local issues are portrayed beautifully in the show, The love angle was also shown brilliantly. The best thing about season 2 was its Pace, The pace was too good and even though the series is around 7-8 hours long you will never find it slow or dull, it has magic in each and every frame.

The locations were brilliant and it looks like nothing changed in 1 year, the locations, houses of the villages, the roads, and the drains, everything looks so real and authentic, all thanks to the creators and the TVF who makes the series so real. The Music was decent, those short beeps and funny instrumentals were like the cherry over the cake, they add another plus to the series.
