“The Archies” Review: The film was in buzz for so long as it was said to be the launch vehicle for all the upcoming Bollywood stars. ‘The Archies,’ starring Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, and Aditi Saigal, is now streaming on Netflix. The film is around 150 minutes long and is available to watch in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and a few more dubbed versions along with subtitles. The film is suitable to watch with everyone, and here goes a detailed review of it.
The story of the film starts in a town called Riverdale. The story begins in the late ’60s, where we get to see that a bunch of teens is trying to save an old park that is going to be demolished by a corporate builder to make a mall there. How their personal life, friendship, and their family get involved in it. The film is all about that.
Starting with the performances, the film is loose from the beginning itself, and I am pretty sure that every actor would want to forget this film in terms of performances. Agastya Nanda plays as Archie Andrews, who is a young boy loved by everyone but was very average in the film. His charm and looks were not enough to save him in the film. Khushi Kapoor playing as Betty Cooper fails to impress with her performance, and she looks dull and lacks that spark throughout the film.

Suhana Khan playing as Veronica was also not up to the mark. She fails terribly in the film, and the dialogue delivery lacks that feel and energy. The same goes for Vedang Raina, who is playing as Reggie Mantle. Aditi Saigal playing as Ethel Muggs is the only one who puts some boost to the film in terms of performance. Rest everyone in the film is average and has nothing much to offer.
The writing of the film is also not that efficient, and there are various dull moments in the film. The film tries to be a light romantic drama film but ends up as a big disappointment. The songs were not catchy at all, and the music also was average in the film. The locations and the set design were fantastic, and they only give the real vibe in the film.
I am going with 2 out of 5 stars for the film and will suggest you skip the film as well. The film has nothing to offer, and this is surely not a dream debut for everyone who is debuting through this film. Agastya, Suhana, and Khushi may have a great future ahead, but this film will act as a dent in their career for sure.
