The Watcher as the name suggests is a series about a couple who moves into the suburbs after spending all their lives income into a home away from the big city so they could live the peaceful life they had always wanted but this becomes a nightmare for them when they start to receive ominous and disturbing letters from someone who claims to be “The Watcher”.

The series is based on the real-life story of Maria & Derek Broaddus who moved into their new home at 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey, and started to get letters from someone who calls himself The Watcher and stalks their every move.

No matter what the Broaddus did, the Watcher was always aware of what was happening, and even after Police intervention, they could find nothing that was not a dead end. In the end, the Broaddus’s sold the property for way less and moved somewhere else.

The series is based on that story and while it is interesting and a goldmine for a True-Crime aficionado, what we end up wanting is another season for this suspense-thriller series from Netflix. But the real question is, will we get it? Well for a series that was based on a real story, it’s pretty much clear that the “that” phase ended for the family after they moved away so that doesn’t really leave us with anything else rather than an ending that we already have.

However, it’s up to Netflix because if this gets really popular why wouldn’t Netflix find some reason to bring it back for another season maybe with some other story about Blood Rituals and creepy neighbors for which there’s no shortage of stories? But as of now, there is no announcement for the Season 2 of The Watcher.

Although is announcement happens, You can expect the series to release by 2024, stay tuned with us and we will let you know the latest developments.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
