The Reading Movie Review: The latest Thriller Drama is now streaming on BET+ in the English language and directed by Courtney Glaude the star cast includes Mo’Nique and Chasity Sereal and other stars. The runtime of the movie is approx. 1.3hr written also by Courtney Glaude and the movie is rated TV-MA for N%%dity, Drug Use, and Violence.
In this article, I am going to give you a review of the movie so let’s get started.
The story revolves around a girl Emma(Mo’Nique) who recently get widowed, he decides to write the loss of her family in her new book “Invasion”.
To generate press and Emma agrees to a staged psychic reading in her very old house by a 19-year-old girl Sky Brown(Chasity Sereal), but there is a twist Sky’s spiritual connection is real and evil powers come into Emma’s home with her when will happen next to know this you can stream this movie on BET+.
The runtime of the movie is perfect and the story buildup is pretty smooth in the first half the foundation laid by the director feels perfect the become a little bit slow in the last half.
The sound mixing in some scenes is very bad as it made impossible for us to even hear the conversation they are doing, the second half feels completely different story from what we are watching in the first half however the performance by lead Mo’Nique is great as it keeps you hooked up through the movie and she fits perfectly in this genre, but the supporting cast does not do justice with their role as some actors acting feels really terrible.
There is really a good script in the first half as the movie seems perfect in the supernatural thriller drama genre, but if this continues in the second half also the result will come out great.
