Is It True Story?
The biggest question that comes to mind, is the series is based on a true story? The answer is NO, although there are some sequences that are inspired by real-life events, but the whole series is not based on the true story and it is a part of the fiction. For all those who don’t know, the series is based on the book named ‘ Six Suspects’ by Vikash Swaroop, the man behind novels like Q & A (later turned into an Oscar Award-winning film, Slumdog Millionaire).
Real and Reel Life Characters
The series is not fully based on the Real Life characters, but the Initial sequence where Vicky murdered bartender Ruby Gill, is inspired by the real-life incident that happened in Delhi, the story is taken from the real-life event of killing of Jessica Lal where the Killer was Manu Sharma, the son of famous congress Politician.
Rest the other events after this scene is a work of fiction and there is no connection with the series from real life, makers had also confirmed that the series is a work of fiction and it is based on the book only.
