The Amazing Race Season 34 (2022) Week 1 Recap: The Amazing Race is back again with a brand-new season that kicked off this week with a few upgrades for the previous format. Also, unlike every start of the season, this Season started off not in The United States but in Munich, Germany which happened for the first time in The Amazing Race History.
Also, the freedom to choose which obstacles that the teams want to do first by just giving them all the locations of the total challenges and having them choose for themselves is something new in this season which causes a lot of confusion in teams when it came to deduce whether they are first or last.
This week, we saw the Teams running around Germany competing to not get eliminated since this season there will be no non-elimination legs so all the teams had to be on their toes. The teams had 3 roadblocks inspired by Oktoberfest, in no particular order they are
1). Smash through an enormous block of ice to find a clue inside.
2). Roll a Berr-Keg through an obstacle course in under 1 minute.
3). Saw through a log.
