Rocketry Movie Ending Explained R. Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been released in the theatres and the much-awaited film has opened to a lesser number of screens since most of them have been occupied by either Jug Jugg Jeeyo or Raksha Cavatch: OM. The film has been penned, directed, and produced by Maddy but the ending of the film is interesting and we’re going to explain it in detail

The Ending

The whole film is set on an interview that SRK who is doing a cameo but has a good amount of screen time with Nambi Narayanan played by Maddy. Maddy as Nambi accounts for his previous endeavors in the quest of getting India its Space Rocket and have a cryogenic engine for space travel.

We see the fails and the hardships that Nambi had to go through just to keep the dream of getting India to accomplish something and it’s not that Nambi always triumphs, there’s a time when he had to hide a child’s death from his father just so the father can complete the work and not put the whole team’s dream in danger. “For the service of the country”, he said.

The film ends with SRK apologizing for the hardships that the people of India put Mr. Nambi through when he was wrongfully convicted of espionage, by getting on his knees, and then we’re met by the real Mr. Nambi Narayanan who is looking at SRK. YES, we have a real cameo from the man himself, Mr. Nambi Narayanan and he gets up and says to SRK that I cannot forgive because I was wrongfully convicted meaning there is someone who wanted me convicted and still there’s work to do.

I can’t forgive because I was promised compensation by the government of 1 Crore Rupees and I still haven’t received more than half of it. “If I forgive, that means I am letting it go. I will fight for anyone who doesn’t have a voice and is going through the same thing as me”. Mr. Nambi then leaves the interview with people looking at him and as he walks out of the interview room, we’re shown visuals of Barry Amaldev who is a NASA Scientist who kept on scouting for Mr. Nambi.

We’re shown images of both of them side by side in, but not together with Mr. Nambi going on his scooter and Barry Amaldev in his luxury car. Showing this, in the end, looks like this whole thing was part of a bigger conspiracy that Barry Amaldev planned against Mr. Nambi to get him off the race, otherwise, why would you show this in the end.

Or maybe to show lives comparison that Mr. Nambi after rejecting NASA more than a couple of times still ended up with nothing and being wrongfully convicted and put on trial by his country and on the other hand, Barry Amaldev is living a luxurious life. The film ends with details about Mr. Nambi, about receiving Padma Bhushan, compensation from courts and a speech from Prime Minister Narendra Modi when MangalYaan was successful.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
