Ramy Season 2 Hulu: What’s up people! Today we are here to tell you about the upcoming season of your favorite show Ramy. Yes you read that correctly. The Hulu original Ramy is getting back for its season 2. Season 1 premiered in 2019 and garnered so much critical acclaim from everywhere.
The show was nominated for several awards and Ramy Youssef won the Golden Globes for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ramy Hassan. The series was praised for its portrayal of American Muslims, Which differed from the usual Western depictions “as the bad guys”.
In season 1 we see Ramy as a young American Muslim guy who is just like any other adult in America. He too struggles to find a good date because of his prenotions ( sometimes ) or because of the behavior of the girls. The problems keep coming for him as he gets fired from his job and his parents try to find a job for him.
Ramy once settled in his new job starts to date again but again due to Ramy’s code of dating he loses the girl. Ramy continues to get into a dilemma between his personal life and earnestly following his religion and ultimately starts to believe that both cannot coexist simultaneously. He keeps faith in his religion and starts to search himself and his religion.

Hulu’s Ramy Season 2 Trailer
Hulu released the season 2 trailer a while back. It’s available on YouTube so you guys can check it out From the trailer we can see that Ramy wants to change himself and he wants to control his desires and ego. Then he meets Sheikh Ali ( Mahershala Ali ). Ramy wants sheik to guide him and to teach him how to control his ego and how to follow his religion without damaging his personal life.
Ramy Season 2 Plot
The series follows first-generation, Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan (Youssef) who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. RAMY brings a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like to be caught between a religious community who believes life is a moral test, and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists. In the second season, Ramy delves further into his spiritual journey, finding a new Muslim community and embracing a deeper commitment to his faith.
Ramy Season 2 Star Cast
The highlight for this part is that the makers managed to get Mahershala Ali for this season who returns to the small screen for the first time after True Detective season 3. We are going to see a lot of guest characters coming in season 2. So the cast goes as follows Ramy Youssef, Mahershala Ali, Amr Waked, Hiam Abbass, May Calamawy, Laith Nakli, and Mia Khalifa as a guest star.
Ramy Season 2 Release Date
Ramy is set to have 10 episodes of 30 mins approx and is set to premiere from May 29th, 2020.
