Mrs. Virginia Wilson Backstory ‘1899’: 1899 has finally arrived on Netflix and it has been making the fans all over in one word, going BONKERS! With the show not only giving us a complex storyline but also a high-tech take on reality itself, we’re in for a crazy ride. The creators of the show have hinted numerous times that “We’re not asking the right questions”.

So, in lieu of that, we thought it’s good to know the backstories of the characters so we’d be able to make sense of 1899 a bit more since there might be some reality to their backstories and not everything that we were shown is supposedly fiction.

The backstory of Mrs. Virginia Wilson

As soon as the Season starts, she comes to talk to Maura Fielding who is sitting alone in the dining hall and she seems like a people reader as she looks around the whole hall and gets an understanding of everyone.

Later, we get to know that she is a businessman who deals with prostitution or probably runs a whorehouse and she’s taking Ling Yi who is Chinese, and posing herself as a Japanese girl. However, she probably is a whole lot more than she lets on.

When she touched that black matter which started to increase as the simulation was coming to an end, her hand started to turn black, and in the eighth Episode when Maura was telling them about her letters, she had a look like she had some idea about what was going on. That’s why we think we know more.

Mrs. Virginia Wilson is actually bi-lingual, maybe the only person on the ship who is, as we can see her talking to Ling Yi in Cantonese.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
