Jai Bhim Movie Review: A Powerful Hard Hitting Film That Will Blow Your Mind

Jai Bhim Movie Review Jai Bhim Release Time On Prime Video

Jai Bhim Movie Review: Last year Suriya’s and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video gives us masterpiece like UDAAN  and now the same Combo is back with another blockbuster this year, Suriya’s starrer Jai Bhim released today on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi and south versions, I Just finished the Hindi dubbed version of the film and here are the highlights and negatives of the film.

There was lots of hype about the film, Previews also got a great response from the critics too, the movie stars Suriya in the main lead role along with Prakash Raj and Lijomol Jose. The film is produced by Jyotika’s and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and created by T. J. Gnanavel. The film is approx 2 hours and 30 Minutes long and You can enjoy the film with your family, there are some brutal scenes so avoid watching it with Kids. Let’s Jump to the review.

Story

The plot of the film is very simple, the film revolves around the story of Senggeni (Played by Lijomol Jose), the Husband of Senggeni goes missing after a false case of burglary against him, No one from the system is helping Senggeni, it seems like everything will end badly and then she gets a ray of hope in the form of Advocate Chandru (Played By Suriya), who agrees to take on her case after listening to the story of Senggeni, how Advocate Chandru will Prove the Innocency of Raja Kannu and how he will fight with a strong and corrupt system, to know this you have to watch the film on Amazon Prime Video.

Acting

With all due respect to Suriya and Prakash Raj, Lijomol Jose is the best actor in the whole film, She was too good in her role and when you see her and her acting you will get to know what I mean to say, she is literally living in that character throughout the film and many time you will feel like all these tragedies are happening for real and that women are real too. She was so good during emotional and intense sequences too and this makes her the best performer in the film.

Hats off to Suriya for choosing scripts like this and then playing the lead characters, he was too good in the film too and his characters remind me of his same role in the film Udaan, he looks very intense, mature, and calm throughout the film and he had portrayed the role of Advocate very beautifully. Prakash Raj was good as always, Rajisha Vijayan was also decent in her role, K. Manikanandan was also brilliant in his short yet super impressive role. The rest of the characters were decent.

Analysis

The execution and the authenticity of the film are the best things about this film, the film looks so real, down to earth and you can feel each and every character of the film, the locations, The body language of the actors, the writing everything was so good and the film is perfectly balanced. The makeup and locations are some of the best things about the film. The music section was pretty good too, I liked that there were no forced romance between the lead male and female characters and there was no item number in the film. The film looks very poor and matures. Once you start watching it, You will stick to your screens till the end.

After such a great runtime I was expecting some massive climax and courtroom drama and the film somewhat misses that, the runtime is a little long and I think the film starts slow and then it picks up momentum, The BGM was average and it needs to be louder and high on energy rest other things were decent and properly balanced.

Rating

I am going with 3.5 out of 5 stars for the film, The film is one of the best films of 2021 and in spite of the very normal story film manages to give a strong message and Powerfull performances makes it a must-watch. You can watch the film on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam audio along with the English subtitles.
