High Water Review: The stories based on real stories are the new trend on the OTTs nowadays, fan are loving the shows based on Real events and that’s the reason why Otts are coming with back to back real-life based movies and shows, Netflix original show High Water released today and here is the detailed review of the shows.

The web series stars Agnieszka Żulewska as Jasmina Tremer, Tomasz Schuchardt as Jakub Marczak in the main lead roles, The show also stars Anna Dymna, Jerzy Trela, Mirosław Kropielnicki, This series is series directed by Jan Holoubek and Bartłomiej Ignaciuk, There are total 6 episodes in the series and all episodes are around 40 Minutes long, The show is Not suitable to watch with Family and Kids.

Coming to the story of the web series, The Show High Water is a Polish political show based on real incidents, The drama is set in 1997 (based on real incidents) when a flood threatens the city, and how the officer, Army, and a Hydrologist Jasmina Tremer handle the situation in these difficult times?, to know this you need to watch a 6 episode series on Netflix.

The story itself has many flaws, the show is more about the Pre Flood events and it shows less about the Flood situations, the show drags a lot and there are lots of sequences that were not needed at all, The family angle of Tremer is sometimes irritating and dull,  The story is flat and there are almost null thrilling moments in the show.

The locations were brilliant and Netflix has spent a lot in the Production of the show for sure, The Music and BGM look amazing and it makes the show a little engaging and thrilling but the blunt screenplay and storytelling spoil the whole show.

Coming to the Performances, The show is full of amazing performances, Agnieszka Żulewska as Tremer looks brilliant and she was too good in her character, Agnieszka looks confident and she nails it in every sequence, she looks natural and as I say, it looks like she was fully in the character.

Tomasz Schuchardt as an aspiring Politician looks great in his role too, he was too good in those decision-taking sequences where he has to choose between good and Politics, He nailed it completely, During the emotional sequences he struggles a bit a few places but in end, he emerges as a great performer in the film.

Tomasz Kot is another highlight of the show, He was too good in his role, He looks confident and his body language was expressive and up to the mark. Damian Krajczyk and Kuba Sprenger were good in their small yet very crucial roles, The same was with Ireneusz Czop, Marta Nieradkiewicz, and Aleksandra Skraba.

I am going with 2 Out of 5 Stars for the show, The show is not for everyone, If you are looking for something thrilling and exciting, You are goona disappointed after watching it, The show misses that Spark and thrill, It was blunt and draggy.

Rating: 2/5
