Finally, Hoichoi has brought another Bengal most awaited detective franchise, and this time none other than Asia’s best crime detective Feluda. The series is created by Srijit Mukherjee and stars Tota Roy Chowdhury as Feluda, Kalpana Mitra as Topse, and the Eken famed Anirban Chakrabarti as Jatayu. Apart from this trio it also has Barun Chanda, Rahul Banerjee, Saheb Bhattachary, and Subrat Dutta. The series is adapted from Satyajit Ray’s original Feluda classic “Darjeeling’s Jomjomat”.

The series starts in the movie set of a film that is being adapted from Feluda’s friend Jatayu’s novel and is being directed by Pulak Ghosal played by Rahul Banerjee. After wrapping the schedule the director announced the next schedule in Darjeeling. The director also invited the trio Jatayu, Feluda, and Topshe to accompany them with the film crew to Darjeeling.

Then the story starts in Darjeeling where we see the owner of the mansion where they are shooting the movie was murdered in a mysterious way. The owner also has a precious antic in possession which also got stolen after he was murdered.

Who was behind the murder? Are the movie crew in any way connected to it or it is a planned murder by someone inside the family or any big conspiracy linked with it? For all these answers and how Feluda solves this case, you have to watch the 6 episode series streaming now in Hoichoi.

Talking about the actor’s performance in the series all the actors have done their best. Its like all actors fit perfectly for the character written in the series. The main plus point of the entire series is its color grading and editing.

It’s just a cinematic pleasure and eye treat to watch the series. The series cinematography manages to give a retro vibe of Darjeeling from the 1980s and the BGM is just on point. The intro song will remind you of your school days if you belong to a Bengali family who is told stories of Feluda and Byomkesh during childhood.

The plot of the series is fast pace and will keep your hook however the storyline is somehow predictable and the end climax will also not shock you much after knowing who is behind the murder. But still, the execution is what that will bind you up and the banter between the trio, Jatayu’s humor, Felda’s wittiness and problem-solving smartness will amaze you in many scenes.

After looking at all these points I am going to 2.8 stars for Feludar Goyendagari and will also recommend you to have a watch.
