Egil “Bud” Krogh who plays a character in the series and the real person’s story: HBO Max presents a limited political series “White House Plumbers,” which is currently streaming on the platform. The episodes will come weekly.

This is a true political story based on the lifestyle of two political operatives, Howard Hunt & G. Gordon Liddy, who were working under President Richard Nixon as White House Plumbers. However, instead of helping him, they accidentally turned him down instead of protecting him. In the series, the character Egil “Bud” Krogh is played by Rich Sommer.

Egil was an American lawyer working under President Nixon. Later, he was imprisoned for being part of the Watergate incident. He was born on August 3rd, 1939, in Chicago. He graduated from Principia College and later received a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law. After Nixon’s election, Krogh joined as a White House advisor. He created a special investigation team known as the “Plumbers,” a team that could secretly operate leaks. Later, he selected Liddy and Hunt for this work.
